In short: LoopMaker builds routes automatically from open map data. A route can be wrong, out of date, or lead somewhere unsafe. Always check a route before you head out, follow the rules of the road, and use LoopMaker at your own risk.
Routes are generated automatically
Every route is put together by software from third-party map and routing data — not checked by a person. Distances, climb figures and the drawn line are estimates and may not match reality. The map may be incomplete or out of date, so a route can send you down a path that no longer exists, is closed, private, under construction, or simply isn't suitable for the way you're travelling.
Check a route before you go
You are responsible for the route you follow and for your own safety. Before and during your run, walk or ride:
- look the route over on the map and make sure it fits your ability and the conditions;
- obey all traffic laws, signs, closures and private-property and access rules;
- stay aware of traffic, water crossings, tunnels, level crossings, terrain, weather and light;
- don't blindly follow turn-by-turn navigation — keep your own eyes on your surroundings.
If something on the ground differs from the route, trust what you see, not the app.
Third-party data
Routing and map data come from OpenRouteService / OpenStreetMap and a Valhalla fallback; weather is from Open-Meteo. LoopMaker has no control over that data and does not guarantee it is accurate, current or complete. Weather shown is only an indication.
Your health
Running, walking and cycling carry inherent risks. LoopMaker is not medical advice. If you have any doubt about your health or fitness, consult a doctor before starting or changing an exercise routine, and stop if you feel unwell.
No warranty and no liability
LoopMaker is a free, personal project provided “as is”, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, its maker is not liable for any injury, loss or damage of any kind arising from using the app, following a generated route, or relying on any information it provides.
